National Association for Public Health Statistics & Information Systems

National Health Expenditures Projections
Projections presented here are based on the 2000 release of the National Health Expenditures. The Projections are estimates of spending for health care in the U.S. for the years 2001-2011. The Projections are presented by type of service delivered (hospital care, physician services, nursing home care, etc.) and by source of funding for those services (private health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, out-of-pocket spending, etc.).

The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey
A Illinois program that gathers information on risk factors among adults 18 years of age and older through monthly telephone surveys. Established in 1984 as a collaboration between the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health departments, the BRFSS has grown to be the primary source of information on behaviors and conditions related to the leading causes of death for adults in the general population.

Missouri State Census Data Center
This application accesses the most recent county level population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau with detail by age (5-year cohorts through 85+), race, Hispanic origin (for total and white race only) and sex. These data are reported for July 1 of each year from 1990 to 1999. Coverage is for the entire United States. In addition to data at the county, state and US levels as provided by the Census Bureau, these estimates have been aggregated (by the MSCDC) to allow access to summaries at the metro area (complete and within state), and US division levels, as well as for metro/non-metro portions of state and above
