Project Goals:

• To gather all public health statistics pertaining to Champaign-Urbana and Champaign County into a single, web-accessible location
• To address barriers to easily accessible public health data
• To provide data for comparison between Champaign-Urbana/Champaign County and other geographic areas

Intended Audience:

• The database is geared toward health-related service providers in Champaign-Urbana and Champaign County and interested community members. Anyone with an internet connection is welcome to access the database.

Methods:

• Secondary data collection – database will be compiled from existing data sources
• Data sources are identified, content is explored; if applicable, data and data sources are entered into the database
• In some cases, the web site will simply provide links to statistics found in existing public health data web sites (IPLAN)
